Tips to Jump Higher

Increasing your jumping ability is not the easiest thing to do for many but, it doesn't have to be that way. It doesn't have to be as hard as you think. There are many ways to increase your vertical leap and some work better than others but the first tip to increase your leaping ability is to assess your situation.

You have to test your strengths and weaknesses. There are plenty of programs out there that can help, but if you don't know where your at now you could be throwing your money away because of selecting the wrong one.

For example if you've never lifted weights before or done plyometrics then trying to do some with some shiny new jump program is just not reasonable. You have to build a strong foundation before you can start those types of jump training. Additionally if you do so with out a strong foundation you may result in injury.

Although weight lifting and plyometrics can be dangerous for beginners to attempt, for advanced athletes they can be some of the best and fastest methods to increase your vertical. The power and strength that comes from those workouts are absolutely shocking.

If you are a beginner however it's not suggested to attempt intermediate plyo's and weight training until you've secured a strong foundation. For beginners it's much better to use body weight plyo's and workouts.
